PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

 

2024     Art Coordinator. (2014 – Present) Harrisburg Area Community College, Harrisburg, PA.

               -Direct all administration of the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery including; budget, contracts and student workers.              

               -Instructional program specialist for the Ceramics, Glass and Jewelry areas. 

               Propose, develop and install exhibitions for the Rose Lehrman Art Gallery.  Develop and coordinate activities related to    

               exhibitions including artist lectures and workshops.  Prepare applications and administer grant funding received by the    

               Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.  Create written and visual content for marketing and promotion of gallery events and  

               programs.  Responsible for all aspects of the art gallery’s website including developing and posting content and images. 

 

               Juror.  Perry County Council of the Arts, 10th Annual Juried Exhibition, Newport, PA.

2016     Conference Participant. Invited to participate in an INKUBATOR SESSION titled, “The Constructed Sphere Sculptural

               Printmaker’s Tap the 3rd Dimension” at the SGC International Conference in Knoxville, Tennessee.

 

               Visiting Artist. Loyola University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD.  Artist’s lecture and screenprinting workshop.

2014     Instructional Program Specialist.  (2004-2014) Harrisburg Area Community College, Harrisburg, PA.

              Supported Art Department in three main areas: Ceramics, Glass and Jewelry. 

              Supervised and maintained each of the areas in the program.  Performed studio instruction and substituted for

              professional  staff.  Coordinated events involving the Crafts areas.  Managed the budget for a wide range of art

              disciplines. Tracked expenditures for over $40,000 worth of purchases each year for the Art Department. 

              Responsible for researching and proposing various capital budget projects and successfully received a number of

              items each year that helped the Art Department become a safer, stronger program.

                An exploration of the art, aesthetics and craft of silkscreen printing by constructing prints utilizing non-toxic water-

                based inks, hand-drawn and hand-painted stencils, photo-emulsion and computer-generated stencils.

                Instruction of intaglio, relief and monotype techniques.
